So in 2007 photography was still pretty much a hobby. Hell, a whim. I was mostly doing it just to shoot Jessi who I found interesting as a person and subject but I had a hell of a lot to learn. Unfortunately, Jessi moved to Colorado in like February and I still was sorta in a band so I probably would have just continued on with music but I had met some other models and photographers through Jessi and set up a few more shoots because it was keeping me artistically motivated.
Sadly, in early 2008 a hard drive died. I tried to recover all the contents but here and there I find some shoots are just GONE. In some cases I have an edited photo or two but the actual pics no longer exist.
#08 - 2007 Jan 4th: Jessi F
And this is one of those! Just completely gone. I have two early text versions of my shoot history going up to like 2009 and this shoot is listed on both but I can't find a single pic or folder from this date.
#09 - 2007 Jan 13th: Lauren
This girl was a friend of the MUA Kaylene who did Jessi's make-up on our Flagstaff road trip. She turned 18 that day and had a party at a pizza joint that I attended. After the party, another photographer Martin Hazine AKA Glossyworks and I shot her nude inside the post office by my house. LOL shooting her in her birthday suit on her 18th birthday! Unfortunately almost every single one of these photos is blurry and out of focus LOL
#10 - 2007 Jan 26th: Jessi F
This was my last shoot with Jessi before she moved. Basically more experimenting indoors. I also bought colored lightbulbs and tried them out. Most of the pics are just silly and goofing off stuff.

Gah. I still feel bad about this shoot. I was completely upset all day and combining that mental state with my inexperience and I fucked this shoot up bad. Seriously, almost every shot was ruined. Too dark, out of focus, just butchered. The model was very sweet and really pretty (oh yes and pregnant) but I never heard from her again and don't blame her. I wonder if she ever stumbled across my later work and was like, "Ha! He shot me when he had no fucking clue what he was doing and ruined all the photos!" LOL
#12 - 2007 Feb 10th: Lauren
So I took Lauren to this weird location I know called the Tempe Boneyard. It's basically stacks of freeway concrete next to a giant hole in the ground. The whole place is littered in graffiti! In fact, we saw two guys walking around with spray paint cans and a gun! They approached us and said the gun was in case they ran into rival graffiti artists. Sheesh. So they wanted me to take pics of Lauren standing next to their tags so I obliged them. They asked Lauren if she would get nude and she said, "No." When they left and were walking away I had Lauren get totally naked and I shot pics of her nekkid with the the two guys walking away in the distance LOL

She's an odd little model that I swear shot with every photographer in AZ at least once LOL Quite a little troublemaker her. I don't know if it was this shoot or my second shoot with her but we were shooting nude pics on the railroad tracks near my old place when I heard a noise. I looked around and discovered some homeless guy watching us from the bushes. I told her and she was like, "I don't care." So we kept shooting LOL
#14 - 2007 Mar 3rd: Angel AKA Angela Finger
Well this is sad. I shot with Angel only once for my series of girls at bus stops. She was with her supposed boyfriend/manager/husband Craig Raether who turned out to be a convicted sex offender on the run named William Smolich. Sometime after shooting with me she started appearing on various porn sites like ATK. Anyway, I don't know the full specifics but Smolich was wanted by the cops and the two of them disappeared. There are tons of links online about the case. I had no luck finding any info as to whether or not William was ever caught and if Angela was ever found alive or dead.
Anyway, as morbid as it is I am gonna re-edit a few of her photos with links about the case just in case she is still missing and still in danger. If it turns out she isn't then I will remove them from the web if requested. Never know though, someone might see the pics and know something and be able to contact the police.
