Until I can get all my equipment back in running order I have a shit ton of free time. So I am busy archiving all my photos by date instead of by model. I'm really curious how many shoots I have done.
ALSO: As I sort through these pics, MOST really old stuff will be removed from the Featured area and put in the year folders 2006 and 2007.
Bought a Canon Rebel on Aug 21st, 2006. Used it a couple times mostly shooting objects. Then I used it on a trip to Tucson on Sept 2nd-4th, 2006 where I went record shopping with Jello Biafra of the Dead Kennedys. I also shot at the PHX Comic Con on Sept. 24th plus the PHX Sci-Fi Film Fest on Oct 28th-29th.
And then I did my first "model" shoot...

Shot Jessi along the train tracks by my old house. There are a bunch of factories over there as well. Had an incident where about a dozen bicyclists raced past us along a bike path that cut across the tracks. I was shooting her topless by a palm tree when they zipped by. And they completely failed to notice the half-naked girl maybe 7 feet away from them LOL

I kept passing the Twin Buttes, which are two small-ish mountains in Tempe that were near my work and I suggested it as a location to Jessi. The first one had a small grove at the bottom of it which we discovered housed a gigantic community of homeless people in tents. We got only a couple photos there and then went to the other mountain which was on the opposite side of the freeway and overlooks a graveyard. Shot a bunch of nude stuff up there.

Jessi wanted to shoot at Papago Park in Phoenix. We walked off the beaten path and found a secluded spot. I looked around, didn't see anyone and was like, "OK, get naked." Soon as she does I hear a noise, look down and see an old man with a walking cane staring up at us. I waved, he waved back and moved on his way LOL
Sadly, not really seeing any pics in this set I think are particularly memorable.

Went exploring with Jessi and shot in an office plaza at night. Of course I used the on camera flash so the pictures really make me cringe. Oh if I only knew then what I know now. Then I shot some nudes of her smoking in a pool bathroom. Again, no strobes so I used the on camera flash. Anyway, NEVER USE THE ON CAMERA FLASH! Gah. Maybe in black and white some of these might be interesting.

Road trip! Went to Flagstaff with Jessi and a photographer/MUA named Kaylene. Not sure what she calls herself these days. Camped in a tent in the woods. Arrived late the first day and set up camp and got WASTED. Drank a lot. So the mix of high altitude and alcohol did not win me over. The next day was cold. Brrrrr. There were patches of snow in places. Jess, bless her litle heart, played a wood nymph and ran around naked in the cold. We'd shoot for a bit, then wrap her in a warm blanket. Kaylene and I both shot her and Kaylene did a wicked cool job sticking twigs and stuff in her hair.
What made it even more interesting was the fact that I could not stop throwing up. I'd take a few pics and run behind a tree and vomit. For hours and hours.
When we got back to town, Jessi drove me home and we were talking out front and saw this blazing green meteor shoot down out of the sky. It was intense. An omen?

Not really a shoot but Jessi was over and I had not really shot much indoors, I did not have strobes yet so I experimented with camera settings and just shot her making faces next to a styrofoam mannequin's head. 33 photos total and nothing really interesting though I always loved Jessi's expressions.

Another attempt at shooting indoors. Again, looking through these it just seems like I was experimenting with camera settings. Nothing here seems worth re-visiting, which is nothing against Jessi because she was awesome! I was just learning. Shame Jessi moved out of state before I ever got the hang of shooting because she was a great model and she was long gone by the time it started to click in my head and I was like, "Aha!" LOL
My world is wonderful and frightening. Always something weird a-happening. You can't even imagine...
