Under The Palms 15

This is my first "real" shoot with a model after having purchased a Nikon film camera and my first Canon Digital SLR. Prior to this I had a couple times taken some pics of some of the girls I knew using one of those crappy Olympus "point and shoot" cameras but I don't really count those as they were taken more for fun than in terms of actually trying to take some photographs. I was friends with Jessi and bought the digital camera specifically to take photos of her. Didn't really know what I was doing so I shot this whole set in Auto mode LOL I suppose I had ideas about composition but no clue about lighting or depth of field or any of that stuff yet. At the time I lived in Tempe and shot her near some railroad tracks by my house not really realizing what a cliche that is. 

At one point shooting under the palms by some warehouses, a squadron of bicyclists whizzed past us on the adjoining bike path. Startled the shit out of us. Not a one of them noticed they were mere feet away from a half naked chick!
